Tiny Topiary began as a shared dream between two Jersey City neighbors who wanted a place where every pastry tasted like Sunday morning at grandma’s and every sandwich felt like a warm hug. From their modest kitchen on Monticello Avenue, they bake each morning before sunrise—Spanish tortillas kissed with paprika, pillowy focaccia crowned with prosciutto and garlic-roasted tomatoes, and the now-famous brown-butter brownies that draw lines down the block. Inside, reclaimed wood, hand-thrown ceramics, and living topiaries create a living-room atmosphere where freelancers linger over oat-milk cortados and families share thick slices of apple-cinnamon morning buns. Nothing is rushed, nothing is pre-packaged; every crumb tells the story of two bakers who believe small-batch is an act of love.
